The wisest person I know ...

.... is my daughter Abi. So, I thought I would share some of her pearls of wisdom. She says quite a lot of things, and some of them are - well, quite profound. I will focus on just three of things. It may be that these are all we need to navigate a world that is complex and frightening socially, economically, politically, and morally. They are:

"What that means."
"What that guy say?"
"My tummy hurts."

Let's look at how these pearls can be used in context.

GEORGE W. BUSH: "There's an old saying in Tennessee — I know it's in Texas, probably in Tennessee — that says, fool me once, shame on — shame on you. Fool me — you can't get fooled again."
ABI: "What that means."

JOE BIDEN: "When the stock market crashed, Franklin Roosevelt got on the television and didn't just talk about the princes of greed. He said, 'Look, here's what happened.'"
ABI: "What that guy say?"

REPORT: Shortly after the recent presidential election, children on a school bus in Rexburg, Idaho chanted, "Assassinate Obama."
ABI: "My tummy hurts."

These wise sayings will help us navigate this storm.
